Jonah's 100th Day of school project

This week at Sparks they are celebrating the 100th day of school. Jonah's assignment was that he had to pick 100 things and display it. It could be anything he wanted, well... small enough to be displayed and he could hold it.

I found an unopened bag of pom pons (quantity 100)! PERFECT I thought... So Jonah and I got to talking about what he wanted to do with the 100 pom pons. He wanted to just stick them all in a pile and be done. I asked him to think about what he has learned this year and we could maybe incorporate that. He, and when I say "he", I mean "we" decided on patterns.

He organized all the pom pons in colors and then started making his patterns. He was very excited working on this. After he laid everything out, I got the hot glue gun and started placing dots of glue so he could stick the balls on.

Sorted out the colors and starting on the patterns

Smile... or not

The finished project!
