So its been FIVE days since the construction has been complete. We could not be happier with the way things turned out. Surely with ALL the things that we had done to the house something had to have gone wrong through out the process. Well, luckily not!
The most exciting thing would had to have been when the bad storms hit on April 3rd. There were tornado's touching down all over the DFW area and I was here with Sophia and Seth and about 5 guys who could utter 5 words in English and I was a nervous wreck. We had NO TV (it was disconnected since the wall with the cable hookup was knocked out and rebuilt and the TV that was hooked up was upstairs covered in plastic and furniture surrounding it) so I could only check the radar on my phone. Did I mention we went 26 days with NO TV people??? I was missing all of my trash TV but that is a whole other story!
By this time the it was hailing, the tornado sirens were going off and my phone was not getting reception. It would ring and go strait to voice mail and I could not call out or get texts. I told the crew that we might have to take cover (they looked at me and smiled... that could mean one of two things! They were excited to be stuck in a closet with a women and her two children under two or they had NO clue what I was saying)! They continued to work through the storm and my phone finally let me answer a call from my dad saying he was on his way to help me with the kids seeing as how it was after 2:00 and the boys would be getting home soon. Well, we were wrong, the school was on lock down and we had no idea when the kids would be released. I was worried about the boys because all I could think of was has horrible it must be face down in the boys bathroom assuming the position for over an hour.
I'm just sayin', I know how disgusting my boys bathroom is, let alone the one at school where hundreds of boys who have NO control over their shooting abilities could be.
I got a text from Autumn telling me that she was in the school and was right next to Luke. That somehow made me feel so much better knowing that Luke was OK. Not so much for Autumn because that meant that she was having to assume the position on that nasty floor! Thanks for taking one for the team girl.
So besides no TV for 26 days, the hail storm, Justin and Rob having to lift the HEAVY couch upstairs by themselves there was no other big problems. So glad it is all over with.
