Austin Bound

After the boys party I pulled them out of school so we could hit the road... right after Justin got home from work he had to do a quick break job on the Suburban.  

I must say this had to be the WORST ROAD TRIP TO AUSTIN EVER!  It took FIVE hours to get there when we usually make it in 3 hours and 15 minutes.  

I am pretty sure ALL of 35 is under construction and we were STOPPED in Temple!  Justin was working and trying to take conference calls and every time he did the kids would start fighting or one would start crying.  

Really?

We finally made it to Amy's just in time to unload the truck and get the kids clothes changed for rehearsal dinner at Rocco's.  

I was up ALL night sick... shocker, I know.  Finally at 5:00 am I fell asleep for a couple of hours before Luke woke up.  He played on his iPad while the rest of us slept.  Luke and Sophia were on one twin bed, Jonah on the other and Seth in the bed with Justin and I.  

Saturday afternoon Justin and Sam went to play golf so Amy and I took the kids to lunch at our favorite Mexican place, Flores.  I have been craving carne quisada.  I must say we were very disappointed.  It was not the same as it always was.  In fact, it was horrible.  Oh well!  

After lunch we headed next door to do a little shopping at our favorite little shop and the kids ran wild... 

After running around we went back to Amy's so I could put The Hulk down for a nap.  I put him in his pack n play so he could not escape.  The boy HAD to nap since we would be up so late. 

The bigs sat in the bed watching TV and playing on their iPads while he slept and then Sophia and Luke fell asleep.  It is now 3:00 and I have to have all 5 of us showered and dressed by 5:00.   Justin and Sam were playing golf so he would get home just in time to shower himself and us walk out the door.

Let the festivities begin!

It is only 9:30 and Luke is fading fast

We ALL slept in this morning.  I think it was almost 10:00 before we started stirring.  We went out to the patio and Meemaw and Pops were drinking coffee so Justin went and got donuts and Starbucks.  Right after we finished our donuts it started POURING.  Seth and Sophia were on their way into the pool house when it started.  They got soaked and decided to play in it.  The water was running off the house and Seth kept putting his head under the water fall.   The rain slowed down so the kids jumped in the pool.

Now for everyone to get cleaned up and for us to hit the road to San Antonio for Hunters graduation!
