After lunch we headed back up to the room and ordered dessert room service because they had a $50 credit they could use on food purchases. This was the nicest dessert I had every had... they brought a white tablecloth. Fancy fancy.
We sat and ate dessert and think we laughed more than not. My stomach hurt so bad along with my cheeks.
After we pulled it together we headed down to catch a cab to the airport. We got to the airport and boarded the plane.
Again, no problems, until the plane put it in reverse. The women directly behind Justin was LOOSIN' HER MIND! Her voice was so high you could tell she was nervous. I quote, " I'm dying, I am going to die, my face is tingling, WHAT IS THAT NOISE, Why is it so loud, now my face is numb, I am going to die, help me Jesus, help me Jesus"
I was now starting to get a little anxious. I was NOT going to be able to listen to her the entire duration of this flight! I turned around and smiled and let her know that I COULD HEAR HER and then shut my window. She said, "thank you SO much, that was sweet". We are now cleared for departure and start going... we are picking up speed and there she goes again, "What is that noise, why is it so loud, what was that, why are we shaking"? The sweet girl next to her was talking her down and the girl then said, "can you hold my hand"? The girl kept asking her questions and then the wheels were off the ground. she starts back up... "whats that noise"? Its just the wheels going up said the other girl. "WHY ARE WE GOING DOWN"? "We are going up, not down" the other girl assured her.
She then continued to talk for a little while and you could hear in her voice she was calming down.
... until the fasten your seat belt sign came on because we were going through some clouds.
FINALLY! out of the clouds and the seat belt sign off again.
Here comes the captain over the speaker telling us we will start our decent and to fasten seat belts and then she starts again. She says a few "please Jesus'" and talks her way thought it. FOLKS, THE WHEELS HAVE HIT THE PAVEMENT! WE ARE GOOD TO GO!
I turned and asked if she was OK and she smiled and said, "thank you for being so patient". I really wanted to slam her face into the back of the chair in front of her and knock her out but I did not so I smiled politely.
We jumped off the plane and off to the car. We made it home and the kids were still up running wild. We finally got them settled and in bed at 10:00. Justin and I were starving so we ate and then showered and in bed by 11:00. Nothing better than your own shower and bed!
