I had the brilliant idea of having a Christmas Craft Party for Sophia the Friday we got out for Christmas break. At the time it sounded like a great idea. Folks... you would have thought I was planning a wedding! I spent HOURS prepping for this party and multiple trips to Hobby Lobby and Michaels. I actually hit SIX Hobby Lobby's.
I started off on Pinterest and then let Sophia pick some of the crafts that she thought looked fun.
I printed the invitation and got all the jewels put on and envelopes stuffed and realized we were supposed to be in Garland at 6:30 that night for the Sherpy/Hickman Christmas. EEEEKKKKKK
I went ahead and stuck with it and told all the moms that pick up was at 5:30. Thank goodness mom and Carlie came to help me out with the girls and the crafts. I had invited 12 girls and knew that not everyone would RSVP so I had to have all the crafts ready for at least 13 girls.
So, a week or so before the party we tried the "pipe cleaner icicle" out. We boiled Borax in hot water, let it dissolve and then hung the pipe cleaner in the hot water. We left it in too long so the crystals were huge. We made a second batch that turned out much better.

I had to make all the girls bags with their names on them so that they could put their finished crafts in their bag.
Pretty sure I had blisters from all of the cutting out I did. I had all the crafts in a bag so all the girls had to do was grab a bag and everything was in it.
I had the bright idea to make Sophia a shirt with iron on paper. I had to cut each shape out of different color glitter iron on paper. Then of course I screwed up on the iron on letters and had to make yet ANOTHER trip to Hobby Lobby to get another "C"and "M".

Then of course the photo back drop for the pictures! Mom came over to help with the ornaments on the string and dad and Justin hung it. Now... time for the party!
