Ski School With Birdman

We signed the kids up for a private ski lesson so they could all be in the same class.  I figured Jonah and Luke would catch on pretty easily but thought it would be good for a refresher course since it had been 7 years.  

Sophia made herself vomit the night before and the morning of ski school because she was so nervous and worried that she would not know how to ski.  I told her that is the reason she is going to ski school is to learn!  She cried and cried and was so nervous.  I told her that she would do awesome and not to worry about it.  Jonah, Luke, Seth, Noah and Claire would be right there with her.  Carlie, Mimi and Papa would be there to watch too.  

When we got to the meeting spot we met Chris aka Birdman.  He was AWESOME with all the kids.  He even got Sophia to smile.  As soon as Seth met him he turned to me and said, "mom, I am a little nervous, excited but nervous".  I told him he would do awesome!   

Carlie, mom and I helped the kids get their boots on and got them on the mountain.  Birdman did his thing and all the kids got their skis on and started on the bunny slope.  They all did AWESOME!  Finally after a good couple of hours Dominic, Justin and I headed up for our first run.  We stood in line for 45 min. to get on the first lift!  We figured out real quick to not get on that lift again.  

We did a couple of runs and then headed down for lunch.  After lunch we met up with the kids and they were headed back up with Birdman to get in some more runs.  Justin, Nic and I headed back up and did a few runs and they wanted to do some more difficult ones so I decided to meet them at the bottom.  

I saw the kids and they could not wait to show me what they had learned.  They were beyond happy with themselves.  Justin and Nic did their last run and met us at the bottom and we headed back to the house.  Everyone was exhausted and could not wait to go back tomorrow.
