League Challenge Cup

We played in the League Challenge Cup this weekend and came out in second place.  The boys were not too thrilled with second but they played hard and got that far!  We played our first game out in Melissa.  They told us our field was flooded so they had to find us a field to play on.  The officials started moving goal posts to the new construction side of the park.  We only started 20 min. late and got to play on a brand new field that had never been played on so that was pretty cool.  There was no place for the parents to sit so we sat in the clumps of dirt behind the construction net. 

After our morning game we went to McKinney to The Yard for a team lunch.  They gave our tables away to another soccer team because they thought it was us.  No problem because they got us in a room and then on three high top tables.  

We had our second game in Fairview so headed there after lunch.  We lost that game by one point.  It was a long day... we left at 8:00 that morning and got home at 6:00 that night all to get up and leave at 6:45 Sunday morning for our 8:00 game back in Fairview.  We won this game so are headed to Wylie at 3:30 for the Finals.  We came up short at the finals but it was a great weekend of soccer.  So proud of these boys.
