They finished the stonework on the hot tub... not for the jumping rock!

Mom needed updated head shots of the kiddos so Carlie snapped a couple.

FINALLY!  They started the plumbing today.  There were 6 guys out there digging trenches around the pool and laying the pipe.  Five out of six of them had a cigarette in their mouth pretty much ALL day long.  As we were eating lunch we watched one of the guys put his out by rubbing it back and forth on his jeans!  What the heck! Surprised this moron was smart enough to put out his cigarette before he fired up the propane to soften the PVC.   They needed to cut a chunk out across the driveway for the gas line.  We had them do three cuts so it would look uniform when its all done.   This mess is killing me!  I just want to go out there and pick up all the coke cans, Monster drink cans, water bottles and all the other junk!

Nori was taking the kids to the arbor down the street to set up a lemonade stand.  We gathered our quarters and headed that way!

The kiddos and I have been going to Mimi and Papas to swim a lot these last few days.  Sophia BEGS to go.  It really is a whip to get all the kids loaded, suits and sunscreen and dry clothes, floats, goggles and whatever else one needs to swim and head out.   Sophia had TWO weeks of swim lessons last summer.  She has refused to swim to this day.  A couple of weeks ago she FINALLY got out of the hot tub and in the shallow end at Mimi's.  She held on to the side with a death grip. She realized she could stand along the side and her head was above water.  I got her an inner tube and she would put that on and bounce along the side.   The next day she was going under water holding her nose and getting her entire head wet!  Progress folks.  She begged to go back the next day and so we did and she was now holding on the side with one hand, putting her face under, blowing bubbles and kicking her feet.   The next day her float s...

Jumping ledge... All we asked for was a nice big rock with a waterfall.  THIS is what we got!  ARE YOU KIDDING ME???  I was so upset about this that I could not even look at it anymore.  I had to shut the blinds.  I mean there are NO WORDS for how bad this looks.  As Matt said, it looks like mini marshmallows.  It was white river rocks. This is what they did to get the coping to meet up with the jumping ledge.     So, with A LOT of brainstorming and trying to figure out just how this was going to get fixed, Nori came over to help us draw something up.  We then went out and used the scraps to show them that we just wanted the same pattern continued.  Of course Justin is leaving town for 8 days and will not be able to check his phone until he is at camp.  I was a nervous wreck so Nori would come over and help me talk to Juan and Nester.  Not going to lie, she did kind of let t...

Folks... it is KILLING me.  I feel like this is taking F O R E V E R.  We are now at the end of week FIVE.  They still have not done plumbing for the equipment, the deck, the plaster, the rocks, the kitchen or landscaping.  The mess in the yard is driving me crazy.  The water and soda bottles thrown all over the yard and in the pool is ridiculous.  Not to mention the sunflower seeds and cigarette butts in the pool and UNDER the shot crete they shot!   TIC TOC TIC TOC summer is coming to an end and we want to swim!
