Cheer Tryouts
The day we have been waiting for is FINALLY HERE!!! 7th grade cheer tryouts. Sophia has had one week to learn a chant, cheer and a dance. To say this was easy would be a huge lie! This has been THE MOST STRESSFUL WEEK EVER. Sophia has been preparing for this for months at TSI. There were 12 girls trying out for 15 spots. After tryouts we had to wait until 10:00 PM for the list to be posted of who made the squad. This was THE LONGEST day EVER.
All the practice paid off... we have a HUNT CHEERLEADER! When Jonah played football at Hunt in 7th and 8th grade she would always watch the cheerleaders and say she was going to be one! Looking forward to this next chapter. Go Hunt Huskies.

Spring Break: Day Six
Last night was a rough night. Justin and I were up all night with Remington. About midnight he started flapping his ears every 3-4 seconds until morning. He could not get comfortable and was pacing in our room. We got a cotton round and cleaned it as best we could... It was our last day to ski so Justin got up and went and took him to the vet that we saw while in town. They kept him there a couple of hours before they could see him because they were in the middle of a surgery. They called and he had an ear infection, of course we did not bring his ear drops so we had to buy theirs and some meds. He immediately felt better after the first round.
This morning we woke up to SNOW!!! I must say that this has been the coldest Spring Break Ski trip on record. I have never had to wear gloves or have my coat zipped or wear my goggles. My hands were frozen, I kept my coat zipped and wore my goggles and gator up to my nose the entire time. It was not terrible, I never felt cold except for the last two runs of the trip. The winds picked up and it was snowing and it got C O L D!
We took Brooke up the lift today and although she had a meltdown while getting on the lift, even dropping a ski she then was SO EXCITED and wanted to do it again. Nic had her on the ski helper and his legs were jello, you have to snow plow and not let tension get on the straps or go past her. I took over so Nic's legs could rest and yowza! I would do it all again to see that smile though.
After our last run we went to turn out skis in and Justin went to get the truck and our after ski boots. We had a great trip and I loved Crested Butte and would love to go back but stay a little closer to the mountain. It made for a long day driving 30 min. in. Although the house was perfect and we got to see the deer and sheep everyday.
The kids were having a blast and did not want it to be the last run. Once we would get to the top they would take off and meet us at the bottom at the lift. Sophia did blues again and we even got Seth to do blues! We were so proud of him for trying and doing great on them!
