It's official... Jonah made his decision and decided on TEXAS TECH! Mom and dad might be a little excited that he chose Tech. He will be third generation and entering the 100th class in the Fall.
The day we have been waiting for is FINALLY HERE!!! 7th grade cheer tryouts. Sophia has had one week to learn a chant, cheer and a dance. To say this was easy would be a huge lie! This has been THE MOST STRESSFUL WEEK EVER. Sophia has been preparing for this for months at TSI. There were 12 girls trying out for 15 spots. After tryouts we had to wait until 10:00 PM for the list to be posted of who made the squad. This was THE LONGEST day EVER. All the practice paid off... we have a HUNT CHEERLEADER! When Jonah played football at Hunt in 7th and 8th grade she would always watch the cheerleaders and say she was going to be one! Looking forward to this next chapter. Go Hunt Huskies.
Seth's cheering section at his game today. Ronbo, Causby, Kate and Hayden were in town. Meemaw, Mimi, Papa, Ben and Matthew and even Jonah came out to watch. We had Cameron take our pic and apparently he took a selfie.
Justin's truck was beyond filthy. He got the power washer out and chunks of ice were still falling off! Got the truck somewhat clean and headed to Seth's soccer game!
This morning we got up early to hit the road back to TX! We are driving straight through so needed to get on the road early. To say it was C O L D is an understatement... it was FREEZING. It was NEGATIVE 16 and felt like negative 31! The roads were not too bad and the sky was blue and the sun was out. When we made it back to the Interstate we saw a ton of semi's and cars that had gone off the road. We had a PUKE FREE trip so that was amazing. Jonah and Seth rode home with us again and Sophia and Luke were with Mimi and Papa. I think the final time was 16 hours. We were so glad to be home!
Last night was a rough night. Justin and I were up all night with Remington. About midnight he started flapping his ears every 3-4 seconds until morning. He could not get comfortable and was pacing in our room. We got a cotton round and cleaned it as best we could... It was our last day to ski so Justin got up and went and took him to the vet that we saw while in town. They kept him there a couple of hours before they could see him because they were in the middle of a surgery. They called and he had an ear infection, of course we did not bring his ear drops so we had to buy theirs and some meds. He immediately felt better after the first round. This morning we woke up to SNOW!!! I must say that this has been the coldest Spring Break Ski trip on record. I have never had to wear gloves or have my coat zipped or wear my goggles. My hands were frozen, I kept my coat zipped and wore my goggles and gator up to my n...
