Spring Break: Day 3

We got up and out the door early so hit the slopes!  Seth and Noah were taking snowboard lessons so had to be there at 9:00.  We got them all checked in and then we grabbed our skiis and headed up top.  I was apparently a little nervous because my legs were NOT working.  After the first run I was good to go! I got a call after lunch that Seth had been upset so I told him I was on my way over.  Justin sat down to work for a bit and I went and talked to Seth and talked him in to staying for about 2 more hours... under one condition, mom said she would stay there with them.

I think he was finally over it and so was I.  There were NO CHAIRS or anywhere to sit so I stood... in my ski boots for two hours.  Seth and Noah decided boarding was NOT for them so we went and traded their boards for skis.  They were super excited to get on the lift and get a couple of runs in before the lifts closed for the day.

After out last run we took the skis off and walked to the base and stored them.  This was a life saver, being able to store them at the mountain!

Brooke was NOT having it.  She was not real happy trying to ski.  Nic and Carlie could not get her in ski school until day 2 so they took her on the magic carpet.  After lunch I asked her if I could see her ski and she decided she was an olympic skier.  She was LOVING it.

As we would get off the lift there were 4 ways to go down.  Of course everyone wanted to go different directions so the adults would divide and conquer and we would meet at the bottom at the lift.  At one point Justin was standing at the entrance of the lift and I turned around and he was GONE.  We all started looking around and then all of a sudden he popped up from a drop off looking dazed and confused.  There was a lady zooming by him so he scooched back and next thing he knew he was going backwards down a 6 foot drop off.  Thank goodness he did not get hurt, we are not even sure how he did not hurt himself.  We could laugh about it once we knew he was ok.

Mom, Dad and Luke were at the house and said poor Remington could not settle, he would just pace.  when we got home he finally relaxed and slept.
