We got up to be on the road by 6:00. Seth woke up with a sore throat so I had some Motrin I gave him. I text Jonah to let him know we were leaving the hotel, stopping for gas and would then be there... crickets. We get to the dorm and he still had not responded to my text. It was now 6:15 and we do not see a light on in his room. Justin calls him and he is asleep, 15 min. later he comes walking down and tells me that he was trying to pull an all nighter and fell asleep 30 min. ago. LOL needless to say, he had NOT packed yet and literally tossed some things in his bag on his way out the door.
Having a 3rd driver was a game changer. I noticed Jonah rubbing his ear and told him to pull over to switch drivers... since he was a baby he would play with his ear when he was tired. We hit some rain, then some snow on the way up but nothing terrible. The roads were dry so that was nice. We rolled in to Telluride about 4:30 that afternoon. Throughout the day Seth would say that his throat hurt and I knew something was wrong.
We get out of the truck and they grab all of our stuff and go take the truck to park it for us. They brought our stuff up the the room and said, "very efficient" because we had the black and yellow tubs with all of our stuff. We also put Jonah's bag in a trash bag in case there was bad weather. lol They have probably never seen anything like us before.
They asked if we would like some beer or wine and brought a bottle of wine. They came back a few minutes later offering us the owners 2 platinum ski passes to use! That was awesome, we got a full refund on our two passes for the week... that will cover the ER visit :)
After we got settled in the room Seth asked to take a shower and then if he could go to bed... it was 6:30! By 10:00 he woke up asking what time it was and running to the bathroom to vomit. By 3:00 am he was running fever and still throwing up. I knew it had to be Strep and if we got him on antibiotics he would be good to go in 24 hours.
