This was going to be a crazy busy weekend.
Friday: Boys Christmas party at school
Dads birthday dinner
Jonah's basketball game
Saturday: Luke's basketball game
Benny's 100th birthday party
Sherpy/Hickman Christmas party
Friday afternoon Seth took a THREE hour nap! WHAT WHAT I knew something had to be wrong. After he woke up he walked by and ripped one... something was coming out with it. The smell hit me and my throat began to burn. The WORST smelling diaper EVER! Got him cleaned up and 30 minutes later it happened again... No way I could take him to dinner.
Justin ended up taking Jonah to his game and took Seth with him. Luke, Sophia and I went to surprise dad for his birthday at Gorden Biersch.
Jonah of course played a GREAT game! Justin sent a text saying Jonah had one block, 2 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals and almost 2 more points.
As we are leaving dinner my throat started to hurt. I got home and took something and was in bed by 8:45, I was up all night and stayed in bed ALL day Saturday. I did have to drag myself out of bed at 2:00 for a shower. Then crawled back in bed.
I missed Luke's game Saturday morning. He had a rebound but then traveled... made two shots that almost went in.
We missed Benny's 100th birthday party... bummer
Justin got the kids ready and took them to Charlotte and Lynn's for the annual Sherpy/Hickman Christmas. I stayed in bed and cleared out the DVR.
I was up all night again Saturday and my throat was KILLING me. I got up Sunday morning showered and headed to Legacy ER. The parking lot was full and so was the waiting room. I only waited 15 minutes though. They got me back and did a flu and strep test. Could the flu test be done some other way? She stuck a long q-tip up BOTH nostrils and swabbed. In case you do not know... I HATE when my nose is touched! My eyes started watering and nose started dripping.
Grateful the flu came back negative but the strep was positive! I got a steroid shot and some antibiotics. Within 3-4 hours I was a new women, my throat felt so much better. My hip/hiney hurt but I was fine with that! My body still was tired and achy (probably from laying in bed for so long).
Sunday I was up at 2:00am WIDE awake. Finally at 3:00 I got up and started folding and putting away the four loads of laundry I had done earlier that day. I cleaned the living room and organized the mud room. At 4:00 I crawled back in bed and was up for another hour. I guess it was the steroid shot.
I hated to miss everything but glad Justin and the kids could at least go to the Hickmans!
