I must say... it went A LOT better than I expected. I arrived about 25 minutes before the show started to get a seat. The place was already packed. No worries, I paid good money for a professional copy of a DVD of the performance. As I was waiting for the kids to come in I saw Mrs. Chery and she told me that Sophia was already crying and telling her that she was not going to go on stage. I was not surprised because she had told me a couple of weeks ago she was not going on stage :)
So the music starts and the kiddos start walking in. I can hear Sophia BAWLING out in the hall. She was walking in with Mrs. Cheryl and she walked her to the stage and talked her into standing there. We had a plan of action in place if she lost her mind.
She would calm down and then see me and start crying again. It was FINALLY OVER! She made it on stage the ENTIRE time. I was so proud of my sugar bear! It broke my heart to see her up there crying but we did not want to interrupt the entire group of kids who were ALL PARTICIPATING.
