Justin and Leo were working late so I decided to take the kids on a bike ride. Jonah went to ask The Runge's if they wanted to join us and they grabbed their bikes and off we went. We ended up at the creek down the street. This brought back so many memories of my childhood. I lived at the creek, playing in it, sliding down the seaweed covered drains and catching tadpoles! I did not mind getting dirty back then... The kids had a blast just throwing rocks into the creek.
After the creek we headed to the park. It was late and Seth and Sophia were DONE! I was pushing Seth in the stroller and ended up carrying Sophia's bihg wheel and she hoped in the stroller too. That was a nice workout! My shins were being hit every step of the way and I had my own music of two screaming children the entire way home. Did I mention I was dripping in sweat? GAG
We made it home and Nori told us to come for Popsicles. We headed over and the boys played basketball and had some ice cream. Seth enjoyed his Popsicle too. Sophia was walking over to me and I looked over at Seth and I heard Matt say, "Sophia just fell". She was about 3 feet from me. I looked up, Sophia looked up at me and GOOD GRAVY. Her face was so banged up, there was blood on her upper lip and a goose egg popping out of her forehead. The inside of her knees banged up, how I have NO idea... She was screaming and I could not figure out where the blood was coming from. Finally saw that it was just her upper lip scraped.
I am certain THIS just set up back another SIX months with her head problem. The last picture is her the morning after she met the sidewalk. It makes me hurt every time I see it.
