Nori called and asked if I wanted to go to The Majestic and see the Parody of The Fifty Shades. I have not read the books but thought it would be fun to get out of the house. There were going to be 16 of us going and a party bus was picking us up at TruFire at 6:00 and we were heading downtown to eat dinner then on to the show. Adonia brought everyone "roadies" and they were awesome and only 15 calories :)
Less than 5 minutes before I was supposed to leave this CRAZY weather came out of NO WHERE and it was sideways rain and you could not even see. I was riding with my neighbor so I had to run to the car. I was in jeans and knew I would be miserable in wet jeans so I took my shoes off, put some shorts on and ran for it. Once I dried off I changed back into my jeans in the car.
We were obviously not going to make it downtown for our dinner reservation with the rain and traffic so we only had time for appetizers. We shoveled those down within 30 minutes and then had to get to The Majestic for the show. Thank goodness it had stopped raining by then.
The show was funny, I just did not "get it" because I had not read the books. It was great to get out and meet some new people too. Looking forward to doing it again. Although two late nights in a row... man, I am getting OLD! I was beat.
